Vectorization / Vectorizing Services
We can digitalize all your scanned data, graphic, artwork and raster images into fully editable multi-layer vector formats or convert engineering drawings from hand-drawn drafts or from portable document formats (.pdf) to the standard AutoCAD format (.dwg) or to any other vector format according to client requirements.
If you are interested in our services please don't hesitate to contact us with details on your project to get a no-obligation price quote / estimate.
Services :
- Raster to Vector conversion ( JPEG, TIFF, GIF, BMP, PNG, etc to AI, EPS, CDR, DWG, SWF, etc)
- AutoCAD conversion ( JPEG, TIFF, GIF, PDF, etc to DWG)
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What are raster or bitmap images?
By definition a raster or bitmap image is a data structure that represents a generally rectangular matrix of pixels or points of colour, viewable via a monitor, paper or other display medium.
In our computers we typically use different compressed raster graphic formats like JPG, GIF, PNG and TIFF on a daily basis, which like all raster graphics are dependent on resolution; meaning that they cannot scale up or down to an arbitrary resolution without apparent loss of quality.
In general it is more practical to use raster graphic formats rather than vector formats when dealing with photographs and photo-realistic images.
What are vector images?
By definition a vector image is an image represented by matematical equations through the use of geometrical primatives such as points, lines, curves, shapes or polygons.
Vector image formats (EPS, SVG, DXF, SWF, AI, CDR, DWG, etc.) do not depend on resolution and so can scale to any arbitrary resolution without any loss.
As they are not resolution dependant, can scale without loss and as objects within the vector files can be easily changed, modified and manipulated via mathematical formulae they are ideal for ideal for typesetting / print and graphic design.
How long does it take? How much does it cost?
Our prices and delivery times depend on the amount of detail in the raster image / graphic file that we recieve from out clients.
To give an example the vectorization of medium to low detailed pencil drawn logo / figures / pattern cost around 6 to 36 $ and our time for delivery of such files again depending on the complexity of the work at hand will range from 1 hour to 1 day.
We re-draw all files that our sent to us by hand in a vector format using the necessary graphics software. We offer discounts for bulk vectorization works (i.e. for works more than 1 file).

How we work
Experience
We constantly require unique illustrations, logos and clipart for use in our projects; we draw most of our artwork by hand and then convert them into vector format. Another conversion that we do regularly is conversion of engineering drafts and .pdf files into AutoCAD format drawings.
We have converted drawings, illustrations, cartoons, logos, scientific data (geological, chemical, etc.), medical data, technical data, location maps, photos, text (OCR), etc.
